Medium is such a great place to read a wide variety of articles. The problem is that much of the stuff is churned out to earn a few cents and now with AI it’s getting worse.
Great tips all around, specifically getting out of those FB groups. They're toxic and addicting both. Plus, the time you're spending sh*tposting about how things aren't working out could've been spent hammering out a draft.
As for grammar, people always find new ways to butcher the English language. Investing in something like Grammarly Pro is one of the best things a writer can do for themselves
Kevin these communities could be so much better, too. They inevitably take on the energy of the loudest people and if the loudest people are nothing but negative nancies, it will probably spread to everybody else. The people running those groups got to be better imo.
Hey Tom! Great post. I’d move #8 up to the 1 or 2 spot so it’s seen. Soooo many writers (and business owners) wait waaaay too long to begin a list. It actually needs to start before business starts.
Ok. Thanks for listening. I’ll get off my soapbox now. 😉

Hey Pooja! I'm happy you're willing to look at your writing objectively like this. It's a trait that few writers have. Shows you got what it takes!
Hey Tom,
I didn't know that is a trait and I have it. I am so happy to read this. Makes me believe, I got what it takes, more.
Thank you:)

A few Tom. I have a several months to go on my subscription but I don’t think I will renew it.
