Brilliant tips. I like the one about looking at the followers of someone you like, and finding some great substacks there.

Thanks Cali! Substack is a gold mine and folks just need to learn how to use it a little bit sometimes.

I love this idea. It’s like substack etiquette. I have a hard time doing things for numbers but I am happy with the idea of doing the things that increase conversations.

Happy that this alternative approach speaks to you. I want to try and find ways to grow that are less stressful, more authentic, and encourage 1-1 to connection. That’s what my pub is all about!!

Thanks so much. I am learning and this was so helpful. I feel Substack are my people more so than other social platforms. However you do have to understand HOW to build your audience.

Those are some truly useful tips, Tom!! Id' say anyone could use these, no matter what size your subscriber list is. I do try to thank each subscriber but I'll definitely reach out to commenters and followers as well, thanks :)

Yes for sure Anna. I think these tips are useful for folks who have less than 100 subs or more than 10K subs. It's always good to work these into your weekly routine.

I wonder if the same can be applied for fhe bigger audience, e.g 1k subscribers?

And great that your advice doesn’t include to use AI 😀

Some fascinating thoughts here. One of the things I’ve learned in month one is that engagement here is more genuine than other platforms.

Real dialogue, intelligent thoughts, sincere encouragement.

Against that backdrop, the suggestions you’ve outlined totally make sense, and equally important, are enjoyable to put into play.

Thanks for your insight.
