Hurley it's so cool that you were the first guest on this podcast. I have big plans. Maybe a year or two from now we can have a second conversation to catch up and see what you've done since then. :)
Hey Tom, congrats on the new podcast! You're a natural. This interview was very useful. It actually inspired me to turn off paid on both my newsletters. I realized that I do not have a clear value offer and it was too stressful trying to come up with one. I would keep changing it and then have to redo all the emails, which became a huge time suck. I am reminded of something you said in one of your courses: if you don't have anything to sell, build your audience for a year and then ask them what they want you to create. I'm going to focus on that and see where it takes me.
Heidi, trust me, I know that situation all too well. I say go full steam ahead with this. You're on the right path to just write what you want and see what your audience wants you to help them with over time. Hurley was great to talk to!! It sure helps to make a good podcast episode when your guest is a badass. I'm forever grateful. Can't wait to see what she does in 2024 and beyond.
Thanks for listening, Heidi! The clear value offer took me a long time to come up with, and when I did, I knew it was the right one because I felt excited about it. I know you'll get there!
Omgeeee! I am so happy i picked to read this piece and discover Hurley Winkler. She is awesome! I love Greta G. Creative Genius reside in her brain 😁. Awesome! 🔥🔥
Often, when I try to listen to these types of discussions, I get bored and then dis-interested. This was not only a useful, enjoyable conversation but you both are naturally engaging and authentic. Enjoyed it much!
Thank you for having me, Tom!

Thank you Chrissy!! You're next! People are going to love it!
My most important takeaway: quality matters. If you want to create a successful Substack, make sure each post provides value.
